We at ISSC support equity, diversity and inclusion at this event. In addition to the EDI policies of UCD we have adopted IEEE policies to support non-discrimination. To this end we would ask our attendees to be aware of, and support the following policies.
Young professionals travel grant
As part of our commitment to the full and fair participation from under-represented groups with diverse backgrounds, we have awarded a small number of Young Professionals Travel Grants in order to assist talented young researchers with their travel costs to come to UU for the purpose of presenting their accepted work(s). Recipients can claim their costs after the event, plus they will have their conference registration fee waived. The awardees of these Young Professionals Travel Grants have been notified by the conference organisers.
IEEE Non-discrimination Policy
IEEE prohibits discrimination, harassment, and bullying against any person for any reason—for example, because of age, ancestry, color, disability or handicap, national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual or affectional orientation, gender identity, appearance, matriculation, political affiliation, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
IEEE Diversity Statement
IEEE’s mission to foster technological innovation and excellence to benefit humanity requires the talents and perspectives of people with different personal, cultural, and disciplinary backgrounds. IEEE is committed to advancing diversity in the technical profession, and to promoting an inclusive and equitable culture in its activities and programs that welcomes, engages and rewards those who contribute to the field, without regard to race, religion, gender, disability, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
