Dear Colleague,

The 36th Irish Signals and Systems Conference  (ISSC 2025) will be held in Letterkenny, Ireland, on 9-10 June, 2025 and hosted by the Atlantic Technological University. The conference is sponsored by the IEEE UK and Ireland Signal Processing Chapter and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society UK and Ireland and accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Xplore digital library subject to conference registration, attendance to present, and IEEE requirements (including authorship).CALL FOR PAPERS

The ISSC conference focuses on Digital Signal Processing, Control Systems, Communications and related fields of ICT, and encompasses algorithms and system modelling, design and implementation for a broad range of applications. The Organising Committee would like to invite you to participate in the 36th Irish Signals and Systems Conference, ISSC 2025.

Call for Papers

Over the past 35 years, ISSC has become the premier conference in Ireland addressing all aspects of signals and systems. The conference attracts both national and international participation and provides an excellent forum for networking with academics, companies, researchers, and students working in the area. The conference programme will include oral and poster presentations (incorporating brief poster introductions), invited keynote talks from leading experts, industry stands, and prizes for Best Paper and Best Student Paper.

A longer list of topics is available on the conference topics page

Full details of the paper submission guidelines, including paper formatting guidelines and templates can be found at the guide for authors page.

The program committee will select high quality papers for oral and poster presentations based upon peer reviews that consider the technical merit, originality, and relevance to the conference. Brief industrial submissions are also welcome.

We also welcome submissions for special sessions on novel or emerging areas of research in signals and systems. Please contact the chair ruth.lennon@atu.ie or vice-chair eoghan.furey@atu.ie with your suggestions.

We invite academic and industrial researchers in the Electronic Engineering and Computer Science communities working with Signals and Systems to participate and submit contributions in previously unpublished contributions from a broad range of topics, which include but are not limited to the following broad tracks:

  • Signal Processing

  • Control Systems

  • Cyberphysical Systems

  • Communications and Future Networking

  • Cybersecurity

  • intelligent systems, Machine Learning and AI

  • Signals and Systems for Sustainability

  • Signals and Systems for education
